Quiz Night 2018

The Hollingbury Charity Quiz Night was held at the Ladies Mile Pub In Patcham on the 25/11/18 in aid of the MND Association (www.mndassociation.org) to raise the profile of Motor Neurone Disease.

It was a phenomenal success, raising £750 in honour of Tony Wicks, who sadly passed away this year from that debilitating disease. It was a good turnout of 36 people ( 7 Teams ) and it was won by Four Candles (they won it last year as well). Great fun was had.. especially with the new experimental raffle method.

There were some fantastic Raffle prizes, some acquired by our various connections to various industries and Minesh and Myself sending out emails ( mainly Minesh) and some fantastic Auction prizes as well. We want to thank everyone who turned up as well as extend our thanks to Gayle & Paul for the use of their fantastic newly Designed Function room. Christine also sent a message to all those who participated, thanking them for their support over the last year during the difficult period and we know Tony would have loved the quiz as well. We also want to thank all those establishments that donated (too many to mention.)

Finally a massive thanks to our Quiz Master Peter B, who resisted the call to make things easier ( easier questions etc) and also to Terry Baker and all those who found things that we could auction to raise the amount for charity.
